Major League Baseball and the Atlanta Braves unveiled the official logo of the 2021 All-Star Game, which is set to be played at Truist Park on Tuesday, July 13, 2021.

The logo, punctuated by Atlanta’s colors of navy and red, focuses on the new ballpark and is signed by the signature script of the Braves’ franchise.

The 91st Midsummer Classic will be the fifth hosted by the Braves, third to be played in Atlanta, and the first since 2000 at Turner Field. Prior to relocating to Atlanta in 1966, the franchise hosted the 1936 game in Boston and the 1955 game in Milwaukee.

MLB also announced that the 2021 Draft will be held in Atlanta during All-Star Week for the first time. The event is scheduled for July 11-13, and for the first time since the inception of the Draft in 1965, it will be held outside the month of June.

The 2021 MLB Draft will feature a minimum of 20 rounds across the three days, beginning with the opening night on Sunday, July 11, following the 2021 All-Star Futures Game.

“Major League Baseball is eager for the return of the All-Star Game and for the opportunity to put one of the game’s great new ballparks on a worldwide stage,” MLB commissioner Rob Manfred said in a statement.

“Tonight marks the start of an exciting journey for the Braves’ organization and its fans as our sport prepares for a thrilling Postseason and for a successful All-Star Week next summer.

“We are pleased to make our Draft the newest part of 2021 All-Star Week festivities in Atlanta. The All-Star Game is a celebration of baseball, and the Draft will highlight the amateur levels of our great game and its future stars.”

Dodgers to host 2022 All-Star Game

Prior to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Los Angeles Dodgers were scheduled to host the 2020 MLB All-Star Game for the first time since 1980.

Those plans were changed when nearly two-thirds of the regular season were wiped out, leading MLB to cancel festivities. The organization has since been awarded the 2022 All-Star Game at Dodger Stadium.

“Once it became clear we were unable to hold this year’s All-Star festivities, we wanted to award the Dodgers with the next available All-Star Game, which is 2022,” Manfred said.

“I want to thank the Dodgers organization and the City of Los Angeles for being collaborative partners in the early stages of All-Star preparation and for being patient and understanding in navigating the uncertainty created by the pandemic.

“The 2022 All-Star celebration promises to be a memorable one with events throughout the city and at picturesque Dodger Stadium.”
