The Los Angeles Dodgers are back on Apple TV+ for their series opener against the St. Louis Cardinals on Friday night. The game at Dodger Stadium is exclusively being streamed on Apple TV+ as part of their “Friday Night Baseball” schedule for the 2023 season.
Los Angeles Angels broadcaster Wayne Randazzo will handle play-by-play duties and be joined in the booth by Dontrelle Willis, who is in his second season as a Dodgers analyst for SportsNet LA. Heidi Watney will also be part of the Apple stream as the reporter.
Additionally, Apple TV+ is going to use a drone camera to provide aerial shots of Dodger Stadium.
Live pre- and postgame coverage will again be hosted by Lauren Gardner, along with Siera Santos. Xavier Scruggs and Matt Joyce will serve as analysts along with journalist Russell Dorsey. Former umpires Brian Gorman and Dale Scott also are going to be part of programming to help explain new MLB rules.
The Dodgers had four games on Apple TV+ during the inaugural 2022 season, beginning with their Jackie Robinson Day matchup against the Cincinnati Reds. They were back on the streaming service in June and twice in September, including when Albert Pujols hit the 699th and 700th home runs of his career.
How to watch Dodgers on Apple TV+ for free
“Friday Night Baseball” games are available to anyone with internet access across devices where Apple TV+ can be found, including iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV 4K and HD, and on tv.apple.com, along with smart TVs, gaming consoles and cable boxes.
One change from the inaugural season of “Friday Night Baseball” is that fans will now need to have a paid subscription to Apple TV+ in order to watch games.
However, Apple is offering a two-month free trial for the streaming service to new and qualified returning subscribers.
