Andy Pages was first to earn National League Player of the Week honors during the 2026 season. Pages was recognized for the period of March 30 through April 5.
He started in all six games the Los Angeles Dodgers played during that span, going 14-for-24 (.583) with two doubles, two home runs, seven RBI two walks and five runs scored. Pages’ hot hitting amounted to a 1.532 on-base plus slugging percentage over the six games.
During the week he was recognized for, Pages led the Majors in batting average, hits and total bases (22). He tied for the MLB lead in on-base percentage (.615), and ranked third in slugging (.917) and OPS.
Pages started the week with five consecutive multi-hit games, going a combined 13-for-20 during the stretch. He became the first Dodgers player with at least five multi-hit games in a row since Shohei Ohtani accomplished the feat from April 3-8, 2024.
Pages homered in the series opener against the Washington Nationals and again on Saturday, then added a double as the Dodgers completed their comeback win for a sweep. When coupled with a double last Wednesday, Pages joined Philadelphia Phillies’ Kyle Schwarber and Christian Walker of the Houston Astros as the only players with an extra-base hit four games in a row this season.
Prior to Pages, Mookie Betts had been the Dodgers’ most recent NL Player of the Week when he was honored for Sept. 8-14, 2024.
The blistering start to the season is an extension of what Pages showed during Spring Training and resembles his first half of 2024. Many believed the Cuban native was deserving of an All-Star Game selection last year, and Pages now is working toward making that a reality in 2025.
Andy Pages’ NL Player of the Week history
This is the first time Pages was outright named NL Player of the Week. He held co-honors with Suárez for April 21-27, 2024.
Pages is the first Dodgers outfielder to receive the weekly honor since he did so last season.
The Astros’ Yordan Alvarez was named American League Player of the Week. Pages and Alvarez combined for the first pair of internationally-born players to win the weekly honor in each league since Pages and Eugenio Suárez along with Jorge Polanco were recognized last April.
