The Oklahoma City Dodgers will have four representatives in the Pacific Coast League All-Star Game on Wednesday, July 11. Manny Bañuelos and Pat Venditte were voted in by Triple-A field managers, general managers, broadcasters and media members, while Rocky Gale and Alex Verdugo were selected by PCL officials.

Oklahoma City is tied with the Fresno Grizzlies (Houston Astros affiliate) for the most players selected to the 2018 Huntington Bank Triple-A All-Star Game that will be played at Huntington Park in Columbus, Ohio.

This marks the second straight season and third time in the last four seasons that four Oklahoma City players have been selected. Moreover, it’s also Verdugo’s second consecutive selection to the PCL All-Star Game roster.

The 22-year-old leads OKC with 68 hits despite appearing in only 51 of the team’s first 74 games. Verdugo is also tops in doubles (15), and is second in RBI (30), runs (29) and home runs (six).

Bañuelos, who joined the Dodgers organization on a Minor League contract over the offseason, leads the PCL with 91 strikeouts. He has compiled a solid 3.14 ERA and 1.24 WHIP in 77.1 innings pitched, holding the opposition to two runs or less in 10 starts.

Switch-pitcher Venditte has posted a 1.59 ERA over 34 innings with Oklahoma City this season. He ranks first among all PCL relievers with a 0.84 WHIP and is second in holding opponents to a .169 batting average.

Gale, who also signed a Minor League contract with the Dodgers over the offseason, leads all PCL catchers with 49 games played and 419 putouts this season. He additionally ranks second in caught stealing percentage, having thrown out 44.7 percent of attempted base stealers.

The 31st annual Triple-A All-Star Game will broadcast live on MLB Network, the American Forces Network, MiLB.TV, the MiLB First Pitch App and the Triple-A All-Star Game Radio Network.
