With the offseason winding down, the Los Angeles Dodgers will spend next week serving the greater Los Angeles area for the club’s 13th annual community service week.

Beginning Monday, Jan. 25, the Dodgers Love L.A. Tour presented by Bank of America will make stops at local schools, pay a visit to Los Angeles City Hall, and host groups at Dodger Stadium.

Austin Barnes, Andre Ethier, Yasmani Grandal, Kiké Hernandez, Clayton Kershaw, Joc Pederson, Yasiel Puig, and Dodgers manager Dave Roberts are among those expected to be part of the tour.

Hall of Fame manager and special advisor Tommy Lasorda, Dodgers alumni Ron Cey, Steve Garvey, and Eric Karros, and broadcasters Orel Hershiser, Alanna Rizzo and Jorge Jarrín will join the tour at various points throughout the week.

Below are highlights of the tour’s schedule:

Monday, Jan. 25

Billy Ashley, Al Ferrara, Lee Lacy, Kenny Landreaux and Matt Luke will kick off the festivities with a Day of Literacy at the Gratts Learning Academy for Young Scholars.

They’ll visit and read to children at five local schools, and donate 20 books to each school. Also on Monday, the Dodgers are hosting a mentoring lunch at Dodger Stadium’s Lexus Dugout Club.

Philanthropist and entrepreneur Cookie Johnson and Dodgers president and CEO Stan Kasten are expected to be among those in attendance.

Tuesday, Jan. 26

Tuesday’s schedule includes paying a visit to the L.A. County Board of Supervisors at Kenneth Hahn Hall where Dodgers manager Dave Roberts will be recognized by L.A. County Board Supervisor Hilda Solis for being the club’s first minority manager.

From there, Roberts will join Dodgers broadcaster Jorge Jarrín and team historian Mark Langill for a Q&A session at John Muir High School.

Puig will conclude Tuesday’s activities by playing soccer with more than 100 kids, age six to 13 years old, at The Salvation Army, Red Shield Youth and Community Center in Los Angeles.

Wednesday, Jan. 27

On Wednesday, Ethier and Tommy Lasorda will be part of the Dodgers contingent that hosts lunch for more than 400 members of law enforcement agencies and families affected by the terrorists acts last month.

The Dodgers will also have a group serving lunch at the OPCC in Santa Monica on Wednesday. Hernandez, Pederson and Puig will surprise citizens with free lunch and will distribute Dodger dogs courtesy of Farmer John from the Time Warner Cable truck.

Thursday, Jan. 28

Thursday’s Dodgers Love L.A. Tour presented by Bank of America will focus on random acts of kindness. Dodgers Kiké Hernandez, Joc Pederson and Yasiel Puig will surprise citizens in the Downtown Los Angeles area with free Dodger dogs courtesy of Farmer John from the Time Warner Cable truck.

Justin Turner will join Hernandez and Pederson to continue providing the free food in Downtown L.A. during the mid-afternoon shift.

Friday, Jan. 29

Several Dodgers will be on hand for a special recognition at Los Angeles City Hall on Friday. A luncheon with the Wounded Warriors Project will follow the recognition.

A small group of players will head to the North Valley Military Institute to join students in cadet formation as they honor the nation through the flag salute and national anthem, and will partake in group exercises followed by a Q&A session.

The Dodgers Love L.A. Tour will conclude with service at A Place Called Home in south Los Angeles where they will interact with children in their after-school activities.
