The 2020 MLB season has come and gone, and for the first time since 1988, the Los Angeles Dodgers can say they are World Series champions.
Now that baseball is in the midst of its offseason, the focus in the sports world has largely shifted to the NFL and NBA. The former is nearing the playoffs, while the NBA is just getting underway.
As the calendar turns to 2021 and the NFL nears the end of its season, it also will soon come time to name individual award winners.
David Price and Dodgers free agent Alex Wood both recently took to Twitter to submit their picks for NFL Coach of the Year. Wood opted for Ron Rivera of the Washington Football Team and Price went with Brian Flores of the Miami Dolphins:
Ron Rivera? Tough choice between the two of them. https://t.co/TLt3TriBL7

There is no doubt that Justin Turner would agree with Price as he is known to be a diehard Dolphins fan. Their team was supposed to be in the midst of a rebuild but are instead just one win away from making the playoffs at 10-5.
The same can be said for Rivera and Washington. Rivera is in his first season with the team and has has guided them through a lot of turmoil to put them in a position to win the NFC East with a win in Week 17.
As for the MLB offseason with Price and Wood, they are going differently. Price opted out of the 2020 season due to coronavirus (COVID-19) concerns, but has suggested that he plans to play next season, which would be his first with the Dodgers.
Meanwhile, it remains plausible Wood’s second stint with the organization will be a one-year stay.
Wood praises Padres for recent acquisitions
Wood has been especially active on social media as of late, recently praising the division-rival San Diego Padres for their acquisitions of both Blake Snell and Yu Darvish.
It remains to be seen if Wood will be back with the Dodgers next season, but he became a big part of their bullpen in October, so it would represent a significant loss if he signs elsewhere.
