With the National League West division title in hand, the Los Angeles Dodgers are set as heavy betting favorites on the MLB odds at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com for Friday night as they open their regular-season-closing series against the L.A. Angels at home.

The Dodgers, with Clayton Kershaw (6-2, 2.15 ERA) set to take the hill, are listed as -220 favorites at sports betting sites for Friday, with the Angels +190 underdogs for the contest.

Kershaw is coming off a victory on the road against the Colorado Rockies on Saturday, surrendering just one run on four hits over his seven innings of work in that outing. That was the left-hander’s only win in his past three outings, after he allowed seven runs over his previous two starts.

Kershaw, who has struck out 59 and walked just eight on the season, faced the Angels on Aug. 14, getting the win by giving up just one run on one hit over seven innings.

Andrew Heaney (4-3, 4.02 ERA) is the probable pitcher for the Angels on Friday night, and he took a no-decision against the Rangers last Saturday after allowing three runs on six hits in his 6.2 innings of work.

The left-hander also picked up a no-decision against the Dodgers back on August 15, surrendering four runs on five hits in 5.2 innings pitched in that day’s contest.

Dylan Bundy (6-3, 3.29 ERA) and Griffin Canning (2-3, 3.99 ERA) are in line to start for the Angels on Saturday and Sunday, while the Dodgers have not officially announced their rotation plans for the weekend. The Dodgers’ Wild Card playoff series will start Wednesday.

The Dodgers and Angels have already met once this season, with the Dodgers pulling off the three-game sweep on the road from Aug. 14-16. Overall the two teams have split their last 10 meetings at five wins apiece according to the OddsShark MLB Database, with the OVER/UNDER going 4-6. The OVER, though, went 3-0 in their meetings back in August.
