During the wait for the 2020 Major League Baseball season to begin, David Vassegh has taken to hosting nightly episodes of “Dodger Talk” to help fans fill the void. And on Wednesday nights, Vassegh has been joined by Andre Ethier, who remains a beloved figure.

Last week the former Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder detailed how team photographer Jon SooHoo helped create a lasting memory and image of Dodger Stadium. SooHoo stood at home plate and shot toward the outfield, capturing the picturesque view that’s become synonymous with Chavez Ravine.

Ethier took that high-resolution image to a company that used it to create a wallpaper for a home batting cage. Ethier explained it helps remind him of his career and also gives his children a glimpse at what playing at Dodger Stadium entailed.

Ethier not only has a the batting cage inside his Arizona home, but also replica versions of the Dodger Stadium Ring of Honor and welcome sign, which is equally impressive.

Just like the Ring of Honor at Dodger Stadium, Ethier’s home features decals for the Dodgers’ retired jersey numbers and microphones in honor of Jaime Jarrín and Vin Scully. Jarrín was the latest to be inducted, receiving the honor in September 2018.

After being traded to the Dodgers, Ethier spent his entire 12-year Major league career with the team. He was a two-time All-Star, won Gold Glove and Silver Slugger Awards, and finished his career batting .285/.359/.463 while having appeared in 1,455 games.

Ethier retired with a Dodgers franchise record of 51 postseason games played, though that was broken by Yasiel Puig as he reached 58 in 2018.
