With the start of the 2020 Major League Baseball indefinitely delayed due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Los Angeles Dodgers have players who remained in Arizona, some who made their way to Southern California, and others who returned to their offseason home.
Clayton Kershaw is among those in that last category, as he and his family are in Dallas. The Kershaws recently were the subject of an online show arranged by the Dodgers to give fans a glimpse at their daily lives.
It included Kershaw showing off his Pop-A-Shot skills and issuing a challenge to Joc Pederson. Now the three-time Cy Young Award winner, usually not keen to posting on social media, answered a challenge he received from actor Will Ferrell.
Kershaw shared a video of himself juggling three baseballs and also passed the challenge along to Cody Bellinger and musician Brad Paisley.

Kershaw tabbing Bellinger and Paisley in the challenge isn’t much of a surprise considering the former is a teammate and the latter is an ardent Dodgers fan. Brad and his wife Kimberly Williams-Paisley were the recipients of the Impact Award at the seventh annual Kershaw’s Challenge Ping Pong 4 Purpose at Dodger Stadium last August.
In addition to Kershaw using his reach on social media to raise awareness for cancer survivors amid the hardships brought on by the coronavirus, he has taken action by donating to local food banks in Dallas and Los Angeles.
He, along with Justin Turner and Chris Taylor, has helped support The Dream Center in L.A. as they work to provide breakfast, lunch and dinner on a daily basis for LAUSD and others in need.
