The first MLB All-Star Game was held in 1933. Representing the Brooklyn Dodgers in the exhibition contest was second baseman Tony Cuccinello and manager Max Carey.
The Dodgers’ record for most players in one All-Star Game is seven (1941-42, 1949-52). The franchise has fielded six All-Stars on numerous occasions as well, with the most recent instance coming in 2022.
That year, Justin Turner set an all-time record with 20.8 million votes to win the Final Vote to earn a spot on the National League roster for the 2017 MLB All-Star Game. He joined Nomar Garciaparra (2006) as the only Dodgers players to reach the Midsummer Classic via Final Vote.
In 2019, Hyun-Jin Ryu became the first Korean born pitcher to start in an MLB All-Star Game.
