With Thanksgiving officially in the rearview mirror and the holiday shopping season kicking off, the Los Angeles Dodgers are holding their annual Blue Friday at the Dodger Stadium Top of the Park store, beginning at 10 a.m. on Nov. 29.
Merchandise will be discounted up to 50% (excluding customized items) throughout the weekend. The store will be open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. For fans unable to make it to the stadium, MLBShop.com has discounted merchandise up to 65% off.
Whether fans are seeking caps, jerseys, t-shirts or various memorabilia items, the Top of the Park store has served as its a Dodger Stadium icon in its own right.
The store was remodeled prior to Opening Day of the 2019 season in order to provide a modern shopping experience for fans. It coincided with five-foot microphones being installed in the Retired Numbers Plaza outside the store.
They honor former broadcaster Vin Scully and current Spanish-language broadcaster Jaime Jarrín. The two also remain affixed in the Dodger Stadium Ring of Honor.
The new-look store certainly experienced plenty of traffic throughout the season as the Dodgers set a franchise record by drawing 3,974,309 (49,066 average) in attendance for 81 home games, which included 28 sellouts. It broke the record set last year, when Game 163 increased attendance to 3,857,500.
The Dodgers’ attendance this past season was the 10th largest in MLB history and marked a seventh consecutive year they led in that category. L.A. previously made franchise history this year by reaching 3 million in attendance during August.
