WATCH: Dodgers-Diamondbacks Benches Clear After Archie Bradley Completes Save

Already no shortage of history between the Arizona Diamondbacks and Los Angeles Dodgers, Friday’s series opener at Dodger Stadium added another layer.

The Dodgers took a 2-0 lead into the ninth inning but saw it evaporate as Kenley Jansen allowed a leadoff single followed by a game-tying, two-run home run to Carson Kelly. The home run was the first Jansen surrendered since July 3, which was also hit by Kelly.

Kelly’s heroics continued in the 11th inning as he broke the tie with a leadoff home run against Julio Urias. That set the stage for Archie Bradley to complete a save, and he managed to do so after walking Joc Pederson to start inning.

Bradley also had a bit of good fortune on his side as a pitch appeared to hit former teammate A.J. Pollock in the left wrist but it was ruled a pop up off the knob of the bat that was caught in foul territory. Replay upheld the call.

Pollock continued to argue as he walked off the field, and that drew the ire of Bradley. They exchanged words and Bradley and the Dodgers dugout did so after the final out was recorded.

That led to benches clearing on the field, with Clayton Kershaw, Russell Martin and Justin Turner among those appearing to take serious exception to the Diamondbacks’ actions. Despite being the instigator, Bradley quickly walked off the field and into the clubhouse.

As matters began to cool, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts began shouting at who appeared to be Robbie Ray. Roberts explained during his postgame remarks the Dodgers took exception to Bradley shooing Pollock off the field.

With their victory, the Diamondbacks snapped the Dodgers’ five-game winning streak and pulled to within 17 games for first place in the National League West.
