Despite a nearly three-hour rain delay and a game that didn’t end until almost 2 a.m. local time, the Los Angeles Dodgers prevailed over the Philadelphia Phillies, 7-2, in the third of a four-game series.

Kenta Maeda only went two innings due to the delay, so the bullpen was tasked with going the final seven and they got the job done, allowing just a pair of hits and two runs to finish out the win.

The Dodgers offense also took care of business as they were able to score their seven runs while only managing seven hits. Although they also worked 10 walks, so there wasn’t exactly a shortage of baserunners.

Julio Urias helped out his own cause with a two-out RBI single that extended the Dodgers’ lead to 2-0 in the sixth inning. The Phillies responded by breaking up the Dodgers’ combined no-hitter and scored two runs of their own to tie the game.

Like they have done so often this season, L.A. had an answer themselves. Max Muncy singled to begin the seventh inning and it was followed by two-run home run from David Freese. He now has nine on the season despite limited at-bats.

The Dodgers got two more runs in the eighth on another two-run homer, this time of the pinch-hit variety off the bat of Justin Turner. He now has 12 on the season, and also hit a single in the ninth inning to raise his batting average to .295.

The Dodgers got one final insurance run in that ninth inning when A.J. Pollock was hit by a pitch and then stole second, putting himself in scoring position for Kiké Hernandez to drive him in with a single around seven hours after the start of the game.
