The complete American League and National League rosters for the 2026 MLB All-Star Game are officially set, including replacements for players who opted out of playing.
A total of 11 replacement players were added after the initial All-Star Game rosters were determined via fan voting, player ballot choices and commissioner Rob Manfred.
The NL roster features six replacements and all but one were on the pitching side. Braxton Ashcraft (Pittsburg Pirates), Jesús Luzardo (Philadelphia Phillies), Riley O’Brien (St. Louis Cardinals), Justin Wrobleski (Los Angeles Dodgers), and Foster Griffin (Washington Nationals) were selected to fill open roster spots.
Meanwhile, Iván Herrera (St. Louis Cardinals) replaced Shohei Ohtani, who is not participating in the Midsummer Classic because of left knee inflammation.
On the other side, Nick Martinez (Tampa Bay Rays) was the only pitching replacement on the AL roster.
The Boston Red Sox and Chicago White Sox are each sending a pair of substitutes to the Midsummer Classic. Willson Contreras and Ceddanne Rafaela will represent Boston, while Munetaka Murakami and Tristan Peters will represent Chicago.
Freddie Freeman (first base), Max Muncy (third base) and Andy Pages (center field) will represent the Dodgers in the NL starting lineup. Although Yoshinobu Yamamoto is a part of the pitching staff, he will not be available to pitch after starting on Saturday.
The 96th edition of the Midsummer Classic is taking place at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia on Tuesday, with first pitch set for 5 p.m. PT. Fox Deportes is going to provide Spanish-language coverage in the United States.
