The Los Angeles Dodgers will be sporting a new look on the Fourth of July in conjunction with the country’s Independence Day celebration.
It is part of a league-wide initiative to celebrate the holiday and the 250th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence. The Dodgers’ special jersey for the Fourth of July includes an America 250 patch on the sleeve, numbers incorporating the Star-Spangled Banner and red nameplate font.

The Dodgers will also be wearing a special cap, featuring another America 250 patch, a tricolor accent strip and a special logo with a gold outline. The paneling of the cap is a cream color, while the brim is a navy blue.
The inside of the hat features additional details, including an American flag and the year the Declaration of Independence was signed.

The Dodgers’ Fourth of July game falls within their series against the San Diego Padres at Dodger Stadium. It’s their second series against the Padres in less than two weeks, with the first taking place at Petco Park from June 26-28.
The Dodgers won two of three games in San Diego and have taken a considerable lead in the National League West standings. It’s not beyond the realm of possibilities that another series win for L.A. could effectively wrap up the division before the All-Star break.
Dodgers commemorative coin giveaway
Fans in attendance for the Fourth of July game will receive a Dodgers commemorative coin featuring their back-to-back World Series champions logo on one side and the L.A. logo with an American flag backdrop on the other.
The game will also include a postgame fireworks show at Dodger Stadium.
The United States Semiquincentennial is being celebrated across the country with events leading up to July 4. Official planning for the celebrations began in 2016 with the nonpartisan, congressional United States Semiquincentennial Commission, called America 250.
Furthermore, MLB arranged for the 2026 All-Star Game to be hosted by the Philadelphia Phillies in order to coincide with the 250-year anniversary.
Beyond baseball, the 2026 FIFA World Cup is in full swing across the United States. There are scheduled matches in Philadelphia and Houston on the date of the Semiquincentennial.
