The first 2026 MLB All-Star Game voting update includes Shohei Ohtani and three of his Los Angeles Dodgers teammates leading at their respective positions.

Ohtani, who paced all National League players and ranked second overall in balloting last year, has received 1,165,133 total votes so far for the 2026 All-Star Game in Philadelphia.

Freddie Freeman is another member of the Dodgers leading in All-Star Game voting at his respective position. Freeman has garnered 870,606 votes through the first update, which has narrowly ahead of the Atlanta Braves’ Matt Olson (802,848 votes). Freeman has won five of the last seven fan elections to start in the All-Star Game.

Max Muncy comfortably leads all third basemen with 941,218 votes. Alec Bohm of the Philadelphia Phillies is in a distance second place with 38,435 votes. Muncy is seeking a third career All-Star Game selection but hist first time voted in as a starter. The last Dodgers third baseman to be voted an All-Star Game starter was Ron Cey in 1977.

Andy Pages is being rewarded for his strong season as he leads all NL outfielders with 800,496 votes. Ronald Acuña Jr. of the Braves is in second place (693,472) and the Phillies’ Brandon Marsh (668,191) is currently tracking to start as well.

Teoscar Hernández ranks fifth among NL outfielders with 507,625 votes despite currently being on the injured list because of a left hamstring strain. Kyle Tucker has received 400,903 votes and ranks 10th.

As for Dodgers who don’t currently lead in voting, Will Smith is second among NL catchers with 662,883 votes. Ahead of him is the Braves’ Drake Baldwin with 972,813 votes. Smith is looking to earn his first start in the All-Star Game via fan voting. Russell Martin was the last Dodgers catcher to start in a Midsummer Classic when he did so in 2007.

Mookie Betts also is in second place at his position with 567,556 votes. Washington Nationals’ CJ Abrams (579,796) currently leads all NL shortstops in All-Star Game voting.

Hyeseong Kim ranks fourth among second baseman with 345,924 votes. Ozzie Albies of the Braves is currently pacing all NL second baseman in voting at 517,147.

MLB All-Star Game voting 2026

MLB All-Star Game voting is completed over two phases, with the first determining which players will advance to the next round before a starter at each position is decided during phase 2.

However, the top overall vote-getter in each league automatically earns a starting spot and skips phase 2, while the rest of the finalists will compete in the second round. If an outfielder is a league’s top vote-getter, phase 2 of voting at the position will still take place to determine the remaining two starters among the next four outfield finalists.

The leading vote-getters at every position and top six outfielders from each league will be revealed on MLB Network, beginning at 3 p.m. PT on June 25.

Phase 2 of MLB All-Star Game voting then will start at 9 a.m. PT on Monday, June 29.

Starters for the 2026 MLB All-Star Game and full team rosters will be revealed on Saturday, July 4, at 4:30 p.m. on Fox.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts is going to lead the NL All-Stars, and Toronto Blue Jays skipper John Schneider is guiding the American League team.

The Phillies are hosting the 2026 All-Star Game at Citizens Bank Park on Wednesday, July 14.
