With Opening Day just four days away, the Los Angeles Dodgers continue to trim from their roster as they move closer to the 26 total players who will open the season with the club.
In a surprising decision, their cuts included optioning Hyeseong Kim to the Minors. Kim was in a battle with Alex Freeland to platoon at second base, but the latter was given the job.
Later in the day, the Dodgers made another round of roster cuts, this time much smaller than their previous two. The Dodgers have reassigned Nick Senzel, Jack Suwinski and Seby Zavala to the Minor Leagues, according to Katie Woo of The Athletic:
Back to your regularly scheduled Dodgers programming: Nick Senzel, Jack Suwinski and Seby Zavala were reassigned to MiLB camp. Dodgers should finalize their 26-man/Opening Day roster later today.

Senzel, Suwinski, and Zavala were all unlikely to make the roster out of Spring Training, so it’s no surprise they were sent down. Senzel and Zavala were on Minor League deals, while Suwinski was claimed off waivers earlier this offseason.
Senzel signed a two-year Minor League deal with the Dodgers late last season, and he was given an invite to Spring Training this offseason. He had a strong spring, hitting .270/.440/.622 with three home runs, 11 RBI and seven runs scored.
Zavala signed a Minor League deal this offseason with the focus of serving as a veteran catcher to work with the younger backstops in Triple-A. He hit .222/.333/.389 in Cactus League play.
Suwinski was designated for assignment and joined the Dodgers this spring, but spent most of camp reworking his swing. He only took eight Cactus League at-bats, but hit three home runs while batting .375/.545/1.500.
He should continue to work on his swing changes in Triple-A, and if he can rediscover some of his previous MLB success, the Dodgers could have another steal on their hands.
It would not be surprising to see any of them get an MLB opportunity at some point this season.
Logan Allen signed to Minor League deal
The Dodgers have also signed Logan Allen, who most recently pitched for Team Canada in the 2026 World Baseball Classic, to a Minor League contract.
Allen made two appearances for Canada in the WBC, allowing just one run over 4.1 innings pitched. It was his first time participating in the international tournament, and he parlayed his success into a potential opportunity with the Dodgers.
