Shohei Ohtani is among the seven Los Angeles Dodgers who were named as finalists for the 2025 All-MLB Team.

Ohtani is joined by Freddie Freeman, Max Muncy, Mookie Betts, Will Smith and Yoshinobu Yamamoto among the list of 115 players.

The All-MLB Team was established in 2019 to honor the best players across both leagues at each position during the season. The results will be announced on Nov. 13 during the annual MLB Awards in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Additional MLB awards to be unveiled in Las Vegas during the live All-MLB Show include the Hank Aaron winners, Comeback Players of the Year, Mariano Rivera and Trevor Hoffman Relievers of the Year, and Edgar Martinez Outstanding Designated Hitter of the Year.

Fans and panelists vote for their choices at catcher, first base, second base, third base, shortstop, three outfielders (without regard for left/center/right) and designated hitter, along with five starting pitchers and two relief pitchers on both the first and second teams.

All choices are based on the 2025 regular season, without regard for American League or National League affiliation.

The panel consists of media members, broadcasters, former players and other officials have equal say in determining the first-team and second-team choices.

Fans can vote for the 2025 All-MLB team at MLB.com/AllMLB until 9 a.m. PT on Oct. 10.

Dodgers nominated for 2025 All-MLB Team

Shohei Ohtani

A year after creating the 50/50 club in his first season with the Dodgers, Ohtani has followed it up with a new career high of 55 home runs. He batted .282/.392/.622 and added a 2.87 ERA in 47 innings pitched for good measure.

Ohtani recorded his third consecutive season with an on-base plus slugging percentage above 1.000, finishing with a 1.014 OPS this year.

He is aiming for a fifth consecutive All-MLB selection.

Freddie Freeman

Freeman started out 2025 on an extended hot streak and battled through a midseason slump to finish the regular year on a high note.

The left-hander batted .295/.367/.502 with 39 doubles, 24 homers and 90 RBI.

He had earned either a First Team or Second Team selection in five consecutive seasons prior to 2024. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Bryce Harper were the two selections last season, putting an end to Freeman’s streak.

Max Muncy

Muncy missed a lot of time last season due to injury, but flashed the beginnings of a bounce-back year in just 73 games.

He paid off that potential in 2025 after overcoming early-season struggles.

Muncy posted numbers similar to his best years with the Dodgers, batting .243/.376/.470 with 19 home runs. He had to battle through injuries down the stretch, which ended up limiting him to 100 games.

A selection to either All-MLB Team would be the first of Muncy’s career.

Mookie Betts

Betts endured an uncharacteristically poor season at the plate, but hit .288/.358/.404 and .299/.343/.557 in August and September, respectively.

All in all, Betts finished 2025 hitting .258/.326/.406 with 23 doubles, 20 home runs and 82 RBI.

Even with some of his struggles batting, Betts excelled defensively in his first full season at shortstop. Betts is a five-time All-MLB Team selection seeking his sixth.

Will Smith

Smith enjoyed a career year in 2025, with the Dodgers managing his workload to combat his history of falling off late in the season.

He hit .296/.404/.497 with 20 doubles and 17 home runs this season, though a late-season hairline fracture in Smith’s right hand limited him to 110 games.

Smith was selected to the All-MLB second team in 2022.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto

Yamamoto enjoyed a fantastic year in 2025, reaching 200 strikeouts in just his second MLB season.

Overall, he had a 2.49 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 173.2 innings pitched across 30 starts.

A decorated pitcher in Japan, this would be the first major accolade of Yamamoto’s MLB career.
