Major League Baseball announced team representatives for the 2019 MLB Draft, and six-time All-Star Ron Cey and longtime scout Marty Lamb will be representing the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Some of the other former players and managers that will be representing teams include Randy Johnson for the Arizona Diamondbacks, Ryne Sandberg for the Chicago Cubs, Lee Smith for the San Francisco Giants and Jack McKeon for the Washington Nationals.

The Dodgers drafted Cey in the third round in 1968 out of Washington State. He made his Major League debut with the team in 1971 and went on to spend 12 seasons with the team, playing 17 overall.

Cey was an All-Star for six consecutive seasons from 1974-79 and was a part of the Dodgers’ 1981 World Series Championship team. He was named the MVP of that series.

Lamb has been a scout with the Dodgers since 1999, signing players like Chad Billingsley, A.J. Ellis, Matt Beaty, Caleb Ferguson, Walker Buehler and Will Smith.

After a season in which they won 92 games, the Dodgers will select 25th in the first round of the 2019 MLB Draft. They also hold the No. 31 overall pick, which they received as compensation for failing to sign J.T. Ginn in the first round a year ago.

The slot pick value for the 25th selection this year is $2,740,300, while the 31st pick is $2,312,000. The Dodgers have gone with position players, Jeren Kendall and Gavin Lux, in the first round in each of the previous two drafts before taking a right-handed pitcher in Ginn in 2018.

Overall, the Dodgers have $8,069,100 in bonus pool money this season.

The 2019 MLB Draft is set to begin on June 3 in Secaucus, N.J., and will be televised on MLB Network.
