The 2025 MLB Draft concluded on Monday as part of All-Star Week in Atlanta, which saw the Los Angeles Dodgers make 17 selections to follow up on their four picks on the first day.
Day 2 for the Dodgers began with taking Mason Ligenza, an outfielder from Tamaqua Area High School. He’s currently committed to the University of Pittsburgh.
Of their 21 picks in the 2025 Draft, the Dodgers selected 18 players from college and three out of high school. In terms of positions, the Dodgers drafted 10 right-handed pitchers, four left-handers, four outfielders, two catchers and one infielder.
Next is the deadline to sign 2025 MLB Draft picks, which is 2 p.m. PT on Monday, July 28.
The Dodgers have a bonus pool of $9,031,300 for their 2025 MLB Draft picks, which is 24th among all teams.
Bonus pools are calculated by adding the slot values of every pick through the first 10 rounds. Any signing bonus amount more than $125,000 for draft picks after the 10th round also count against pool money.
Consequences for exceeding that allotment include a 75% tax on any overage amount that is up to 5% over the pool. If a team goes beyond the 5% threshold, they will lose their first-round pick in the next draft.
