While the Los Angeles Dodgers drew headlines during the offseason for signing the likes of Blake Snell, Tanner Scott and Kirby Yates, among others, the team also made a bevy of smaller moves to bolster their organizational depth.
One of those additions was signing Joe Jacques to a Minor League contract. The left-hander has prior MLB experience with the Boston Red Sox and Arizona Diamondbacks, though struggled to the tune of a 5.46 ERA, 4.90 FIP and 1.65 WHIP in 25 career games.
Jacques was a non-roster invitee to Dodgers Spring Training and went on to begin the season with Triple-A Oklahoma City, but his time with the organization has come to an end.
According to Joel Sherman of the New York Post, the Dodgers traded Jacques to Seattle Mariners:

It is not yet been reported who the Dodgers are receiving in return for Jacques. Though, that player presumably will not be someone who immediately needs to be added onto the Dodgers’ 40-man roster.
It’s also plausible the Dodgers could have traded Jacques to the Mariners in exchange for cash considerations.
Jacques went 1-1 with three saves, a 6.04 ERA and 1.61 WHIP in 18 games for Oklahoma City.
Dodgers exploring trade for bench?
While the Dodgers have traded from their Minor League level, they reportedly are in search of a left-handed hitting position player to add to the bench.
It’s not clear how that group would then be pieced together after the fact, given Dalton Rushing, Hyeseong Kim and Kiké Hernández appear solidified. An argument could be made for Miguel Rojas as well, due to his veteran status and value in the Dodgers clubhouse.
Though, Rojas has struggled to produce so far this year, and that could make him susceptible like with Austin Barnes and Chris Taylor.
