FOCO released a new Los Angeles Dodgers bobblehead to celebrate Hyeseong Kim joining the team for his MLB debut. The South Korean native is in the first season of a three-year, $12.5 million contract.
Kim’s deal also includes a two-year team option for the 2028 and 2029 seasons.

Kim’s bobblehead design has him dressed in a suit and holding a home Dodgers uniform and standing atop a thematic base with “WELCOME” across the backdrop. On the reverse side is the official Dodgers logo. Along the front of the base is Kim’s full name “LA” logo and his jersey number.
FOCO has used such a design in the past for players new to the Dodgers roster, including Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto.
The Kim bobblehead is the first of its kind so far in his Dodgers career. It’s limited to a production run of 225 units and won’t be restocked once quantities sell out.
Kim’s opportunity with the Dodgers arrived last week due to Tommy Edman going on the 10-day injured list with right ankle inflammation. The initial plan was for Kim to primarily be an option off the bench, but he’s received opportunities to start because of Teoscar Hernández’s groin strain.
Similar the plan the Dodgers set during Spring Training, Kim has played second base, shortstop and center field so far. He figures to remain up with the team until both Edman and Hernández return from their respective injuries.
Hyeseong Kim’s nickname
His speed and baserunning instincts have earned Kim a nickname of “The Comet.”
Manager Dave Roberts lauded Kim’s speed and instincts as traits the Dodgers’ roster otherwise is lacking.
