Tyler Glasnow and Blake Snell are among marquee pitching additions the Los Angeles Dodgers made over the last two offseasons, but neither has truly managed to make an impact for the team just yet.
Glasnow pitched well at various points last year, only to see his season end early because of right elbow tendinitis. Glasnow adjusted his mechanics during the winter and was hopeful to remain healthy in 2025, but is on the 15-day injured list due to right shoulder inflammation.
Meanwhile, Snell made two starts this season before landing on the injured list as well because of left shoulder inflammation.
According to Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic, both pitchers are scheduled to resume throwing on Friday:
Dave Roberts said both Blake Snell and Tyler Glasnow will start playing catch on Friday. Snell is on the trip and will be in AZ, Glasnow will not.

Glasnow is 1-0 with a 4.50 ERA and 1.28 WHIP in five starts this season. He left an outing on April 6 after just two-plus innings because of coming unraveled due to rainy weather at Citizens Bank Park.
Glasnow then had a start cut short on April 20 due to lower leg cramping, and he completed only one inning his next turn in the rotation because of the right shoulder injury.
Snell went 1-0 with a 2.00 ERA and 2.00 WHIP in his starts before being placed on the IL. He walked four batters in each outing.
Dodgers updates
Tyler Glasnow
While the Dodgers are encouraged that Glasnow’s right shoulder doesn’t have any structural damage, the team remains at a loss over what is plaguing him.
Glasnow expressed similar frustration and disappointment, and vowed to continue searching for any answers to remain on the field. The initial step was to have Glasnow shutdown for a period of 10 to 14 days. His IL stint began on April 28.
Blake Snell
Snell is looking to have better results upon throwing in his quest to return from left shoulder trouble. He advanced to throwing a bullpen session last month but had a second instance of mound work canceled because of lingering discomfort.
Roberts previously suggested Snell was going to miss an extended period of the season.
