The Los Angeles Dodgers winning the 2024 World Series not only guaranteed them a ring ceremony at Dodger Stadium, but also participation in MLB’s annual gold program for the reigning champion.
It has become commonplace for the defending World Series champion to don a gold-trimmed jersey and cap for Opening Day or their home opener, and in some cases multiple games. The New York Yankees were the last team to not wear a hat or jersey with the gold design when they opened the 2010 season as defending champions.
Meanwhile, the Dodgers gold jersey for 2025 was unveiled Friday and is available for purchase through Fanatics, MLB Shop, Dodger Stadium top of the park store and Dodgers clubhouse locations.
In a reversal from the version they wore in 2021, the 2025 Dodgers gold program jersey features their trademark script in gold with a blue trim. Jersey numbers are also in gold, with the front outlined in red and the back featuring a blue border.
On the right sleeve of the jersey is a 2024 World Series champions logo that is accompanied by the trademark “LA” logo for the Dodgers.
The left sleeve of the jersey is a cursive “D” logo set to the gold theme. It replaces the “VII” roman numeral that was featured on the 2021 Dodgers gold jersey to symbolize what was the franchise’s seventh championship at the time.
The on-field Dodgers gold cap by New Era includes a gold “LA” logo, MLB logo, and button on top, and is accompanied by the 2024 World Series championship patch.
In 2021, the Dodgers wore their gold program jersey and cap throughout their first home series. The team has not yet specified if it will follow that same approach, or just don them for the Dodger Stadium opener or World Series ring ceremony game.

Players available in the Dodgers gold jersey for 2025 are Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, Kiké Hernández, Teoscar Hernández, Clayton Kershaw, Shohei Ohtani, Will Smith and Yoshinobu Yamamoto.
They can be purchased in limited ($195) and Nike elite ($415) versions, and some women’s and youth options are available as well, in addition to a Dodgers gold jersey without a player name.
