The Los Angeles Dodgers captured their eighth World Series title last year and now are looking to become the first team in more than two decades to repeat as MLB champions.
Just as they did during the 2021 season after winning the World Series, the Dodgers are going to participate in MLB’s gold program this year.
It has been a longstanding tradition for the reigning World Series champions to don a gold-trimmed jersey and cap in their first home game or series of the season.
While the Dodgers haven’t officially unveiled their gold series jersey and cap for 2025, the design has seemingly leaked on social media as some retailers are already selling the merchandise.

The Dodgers script is gold and outlined in blue, while the number on the front of the jersey is gold with a red outline. Additionally, the right sleeve has a World Series champions patch.
That’s a change from the Dodgers’ gold jersey in 2021, when the script was blue and the front number was red, both of which were outlined in gold.
In some sense the gold series Dodgers jersey for 2025 is relatively similar to what players wore during the 2022 MLB All-Star Game at Dodger Stadium.
Meanwhile, the interlocking “LA” logo on the Dodgers’ cap is solid gold with no outline. The previous cap in 2021 had the trademark “LA” logo in white with a gold outline.
The Dodgers wore their gold jersey and cap during their first home series of the 2021 season against the Washington Nationals. They presumably likely do the same this year when they host the Detroit Tigers at Dodger Stadium from March 27-29.
When is 2024 Dodgers World Series ring ceremony?
The Dodgers will have their 2024 World Series ring ceremony on Friday, March 28, as opposed to during the Dodger Stadium opener the previous day.
