FOCO released a new Shohei Ohtani bobblehead to commemorate his latest milestone of reaching 40 home runs and 40 stolen bases this season. Ohtani became the sixth member of the 40/40 club in MLB history, and he’s the first to accomplish the feat with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Matt Kemp nearly did so in 2011, when he finished with 39 home runs and 40 stolen bases en route to a controversial second-place finish behind then-Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun for the National League MVP Award.

There has been no such drama with Ohtani as it became apparent weeks ago he would reach — and surpass — 40 homers and 40 stolen bases this season. He did however join the rare group in dramatic fashion by hitting a walk-off grand slam against the Tampa Bay Rays on Friday night.

Earlier in the game, Ohtani had stolen his 40th base after reaching on an infield single.

The new Ohtani bobblehead is the second released by FOCO since he accomplished the historic feat. The latest version differs from the first bobblehead that went on sale in that it features a bighead design.

Ohtani is dressed in the home white Dodgers uniform and in the pose of taking a swing. Text displays on the back drop include “40/40 CLUB,” “HOME RUNS” and “STOLEN BASES” to accompany “40 HR” and “40 SB” on the front of base.

Also included along the front is “8.23.24” in text to further highlight the night in which Ohtani put his name into the record books.

The Ohtani 40/40 bobblehead is limited to a production run of 240 units and won’t be restocked once quantities sell out.

Shohei Ohtani fastest to 40-40

Ohtani broke Alfonso Soriano’s MLB record as the fastest player to a 40-40 season by doing so in his 126th game. Soriano accomplished the feat in 147 games.
