The story of the Los Angeles Dodgers could not be told without legendary starting pitcher Orel Hershiser.
The three-time All-Star spent 13 seasons with the Dodgers from 1983-1994 and again in 2000. He won the 1988 World Series with L.A. and won the National League Cy Young award that season. He pitched 2,180 innings with the team and won 135 games.
While Hershiser is not in the Hall of Fame, and therefore does not have his number retired by the Dodgers, he is undoubtedly one of the most recognizable names and figures in the franchise’s storied history. And it’s because of that that fans would be hugely excited for the opportunity at an all access experience with the legendary pitcher at the stadium.
On Saturday, May 18, the Dodgers are hosting an all access event featuring Hershiser that will give fans the opportunity to meet and converse with one of the team’s all-time greats.
The event costs $850 per person, but comes with several incredible opportunities. The first is a pregame tour with Dodger historian Mark Langill, Infield Box game tickets and a parking pass for Saturday’s 6:10 p.m. PST game against the Cincinnati Reds.
Fans get a pregame reception with food and drinks, and included in that is a Q&A with Hershiser, followed by a meet and greet and a photo opportunity with Hershiser’s awards. Finally, fans in attendance get a gift bag that includes a signed photo of Hershiser.
This is an incredible chance for fans of Dodgers history to speak with a legend of the franchise before getting top notch seats to watch the current team play. All of the experiences are hosted pregame with exact timings being communicated directly to paying guests via email.
Tickets for the event remain available and can be purchased at the link here.
Possible Dodgers city connect jersey leaks
The City Connect jerseys have become an exciting part of the MLB calendar, when teams reveal how they are going to honor their city and fans each year.
The 2024 City Connect jerseys have not yet been unveiled, but the Los Angeles Dodgers’ edition may have accidentally been leaked in its first sneak preview.
The Dodgers have had a successful City Connect uniform. Their all blue “Los Dodgers” uniform was a hit among fans, although not everyone was in favor.
The 2024 edition, though, appears to be a bit of a departure from that style. A new leak from Tokyo reveals a largely white uniform that, if correct, would make its debut on June 21.
