The Los Angeles Dodgers earned a second consecutive win over the Minnesota Twins at Target Field behind a dominant start from Tyler Glasnow.
The right-hander allowed just three hits over seven scoreless innings and collected a season-high 14 strikeouts without walking a batter. It was the third time Glasnow reached 14 strikeouts in a game, having done so in 2021 and 2023 as a member of the Tampa Bay Rays.
He at one point had a stretch of six consecutive strikeouts from the third through fifth innings, which included striking out the side in the fourth. Glasnow recorded 21 swing-and-misses and 21 called strikes during the night.
According to STATS, Glasnow became the first pitcher since at least 1988 when pitches were first tracked to accumulate 14 strikeouts in a start while throwing fewer than 90 pitches.

Glasnow threw just 88 pitches in his gem against the Twins. He used his fastball 51% of the time and mixed in a slider (32%) and curveball (17%) that kept opposing batters guessing all night.
With the stellar outing, Glasnow improved to 3-0 with a 2.25 ERA, 2.77 FIP, 0.75 FIP and 10.9 strikeouts per nine through four starts this season.
Tyler Glasnow joins small group of Dodgers pitchers with 14 strikeouts in start
Glasnow became the first Dodgers pitcher since Walker Buehler in 2019 to record at least 14 strikeouts in a game.
It was also the 11th time a Dodgers pitcher has struck out 14 or more since 2000. Buehler did it twice, Clayton Kershaw had six such games, while Brad Penny and Chan Ho Park each had one as well.
Glasnow also became the second pitcher in Dodgers franchise history to strike out at least 14 batters on three hits or fewer and no runs or walks allowed (Van Mungo, 1935).
