Andy Pages has risen up prospect boards in recent years and was poised to take the next step with the Los Angeles Dodgers before a shoulder injury prematurely ended his 2023 season.

The 23-year-old appeared in just 34 games last year – including one with Triple-A Oklahoma City – and hit a combined .277/.425/.482 with 12 doubles, three home runs and 25 RBI.

Pages is nearly eight months removed from undergoing surgery to repair a torn labrum in his right shoulder and should be a full go for Spring Training.

According to Juan Toribio of MLB.com, Pages will likely begin the 2024 season with Double-A Tulsa or Oklahoma City and isn’t considered likely to make his big league debut this year:

Pages will likely start the season in either Double-A Tulsa or Triple-A Oklahoma City, but he likely won’t make his debut until at least the 2025 season.

Pages was on track to join the Dodgers quickly before his injury, which makes it all the more disappointing that he will likely have to wait another year. However, a potential call-up shouldn’t be completely ruled out as Pages is a very talented hitter and could force his way up if he stays healthy.

Pages has primarily played right field in his Minor League career but also has experience at the other two outfield spots and third base.

In parts of five Minor League seasons, Pages is batting .257/.378/.520 with 97 doubles, 89 home runs and 284 RBI over 401 games. In addition to his power, he has consistently posted high walk rates and doesn’t strike out a ton.

Andy Pages prospect rankings

Pages is currently the No. 6 ranked Dodgers prospect according to MLB Pipeline, and Baseball Prospectus has him as the No. 96 prospect in all of baseball for the 2024 season.

Most known for his power, Pages also has a strong arm and athleticism that should make him a quality defensive outfielder.
