The Los Angeles Dodgers suffered a disappointing postseason exit for the second year in a row, but Mookie Betts has still made his way to being part of the 2023 World Series as a correspondent.
MLB announced Betts is going to attend Game 3 at Chase Field on Monday night, where he will produce content and provide
behind the scenes access across MLB platforms and conduct social media takeovers. First pitch for Game 3 is at 5:03 p.m. PT.
The Arizona Diamondbacks are looking to win a second World Series title in franchise history while the Texas Rangers seek their first.
Betts is going to connect with friends, coaches and players who are participating in this year’s World Series, along with making an appearance on MLB Network, and talking with personalities and celebrities in attendance, among other initiatives.
Betts has won the World Series with both the Boston Red Sox (2018) and Dodgers (2020).
As for his interests off the field, the former American League MVP launched a video and podcast series, “On Base with Mookie Betts” with Bleacher Report. The series featured Betts interviewing current players and teammates, including Freddie Freeman, Kiké Hernández and J.D. Martinez.
Betts is also an executive producer under his media company One Marketing Group (OMG), where he develops scripted and unscripted film, TV and podcast projects. Betts introduced a new YouTube channel in February, where he provides fans with an inside look at his baseball career and life at home.
Mookie Betts finalists for awards
Having already won the 2023 multi-position Fielding Bible Award, Betts is additionally a finalist for National League Outstanding Player and MLB Player of the Year for the Players Choice Awards, and for a Gold Glove in right field and the utility position.
