2024 Los Angeles Dodgers Spring Training Schedule, Results & TV Sched
MLB announced the 2024 Los Angeles Dodgers Spring Training schedule, which begins February 22 with a road game against the San Diego Padres.
It marks a fifth year in a row in which the Dodgers do not open Cactus League play against their Camelback Ranch co-tenant Chicago White Sox. In 2020, the Dodgers started their Spring Training schedule against the San Francisco Giants, and last year they were on the road to face the Milwaukee Brewers.
The Dodgers’ Camelback Ranch opener is February 23, when they face the Padres once again.
The Dodgers and Padres start MLB’s Spring Training schedule one day earlier than all other teams due to opening the 2024 regular season in South Korea for the Seoul Series from March 20-21. The series is part of the 2024 “MLB World Tour” and marks the league’s first regular season games in South Korea.
Overall, the Dodgers play 21 Cactus League games in a span of 21 days. Included in that stretch is a split-squad doubleheader on March 2, and the Dodgers’ only off day of Spring Training is March 4.
A quirk in the Dodgers schedule is playing the exhibition Freeway Series between being in South Korea and their Dodger Stadium opener on March 28. Games against the Angels are scheduled for March 24-26, with the first two contests at Dodger Stadium.
The Dodgers’ final Cactus League game is March 13, one week before Opening Day of the regular season. It’s a similar arrangement to 2014, when the Dodgers had six days between their final spring game in Arizona and starting the regular season in Sydney Australia.
