The Los Angeles Dodgers clinched their fourth consecutive series win by taking the second of a three-game set against the Baltimore Orioles with an offensive outburst.
L.A. jumped out to an early lead in the second inning when J.D. Martinez drew a leadoff walk and David Peralta followed with a single. Jason Heyward then broke the scoreless tie with a three-run home run, his ninth long ball of the season.
The inning continued with a walk from Miguel Rojas and single by James Outman to start another rally with runners at the corners. Freddie Freeman then followed with an RBI single to extend his MLB-leading on-base streak to 19 games while making the score 4-0.
Will Smith capped off the inning with another RBI single to put the Dodgers ahead 5-0.
The Orioles added a run back with an RBI double from Aaron Hicks in the bottom half of the inning, but that proved to be all their offense until the game was out of reach.

The Dodgers lineup also remained quiet for a few innings until Rojas and Outman worked back-to-back to start the seventh. The pair then successfully completed a double steal, aided by a throwing error from Adler Rutschman, which also allowed Rojas to score.
Mookie Betts and Freeman followed with walks of their own to load the bases before Max Muncy reached on a fielder’s choice to score another run, making the game 7-1.
Martinez then followed with a single to drive in another run before Chris Taylor drew a bases-loaded walk to put L.A. up by eight runs. The Dodgers added their 10th run in the eighth inning on an RBI single from Smith following a double from Freeman.
The Orioles came back with two runs in the bottom of the eighth inning, making the score 10-3, but they were unable to string anything else together in the game.
Michael Grove strong in start for Dodgers
Michael Grove earned his second win of the season by pitching five-plus innings and giving up just one run on five hits. He additionally struck out four and walked two, making it one of his best starts of the season.
From there, Yency Almonte recorded a hold by pitching out of a jam in the sixth inning while Phil Bickford and Nick Robertson covered the final three innings, giving up a run each.
