Los Angeles Dodgers prospects Luis Yanel Diaz, Jared Karros and Gavin Stone recently earned Minor League weekly honors in their respective leagues.

Diaz was named Midwest League Player of the Week for June 26-July 2, Karros was named California League Pitcher of the Week for June 26-July 2, and Stone earned Pacific Coast League Player of the Week honors for July 3-9.

Diaz, who is currently playing with the High-A Great Lakes Loons, went 7-for-16 (.438) with three doubles, one home run, three RBI, three walks and six runs scored in five games during the period he earned recognition.

Diaz most notably went 3-for-3 with a double, home run, two RBI, one walk and two runs scored against the Lansing Lugnuts in the second game of a doubleheader on June 30.

He is in the midst of a sixth professional season after signing with the Dodgers as an amateur free agent during the 2016-17 international signing period.

Karros, who is with the Single-A Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, tossed five scoreless innings of one-hit ball in his start against the Visalia Rawhide on June 28. The right-hander collected three strikeouts in the Quakes’ 5-1 win.

Jared, the son of former Dodgers first baseman Eric Karros, was selected by the team out of UCLA in the 16th round of the 2022 MLB Draft.

Stone, who is currently pitching for the Triple-A Oklahoma City Dodgers, allowed just three hits over six scoreless innings and collected eight strikeouts in his start against the Albuquerque Isotopes on July 9.

Stone was optioned to the affiliate after pitching two innings out of the bullpen for the Dodgers on the Fourth of July. He owns a 12.75 ERA in four big league appearances (three starts) and a 6.03 ERA in 13 games with OKC.

The Dodgers selected Stone out of Central Arkansas in the fifth round of the 2020 MLB Draft.
