The Los Angeles Dodgers absorbed more injury news, with Daniel Hudson the latest lost for a prolonged stretch, and responded with a 5-2 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates to take the four-game series at Dodger Stadium.

Julio Urías bounced back from a subpar outing by looking more like the ace he’s been over the past two seasons. David Peralta misplaying a fly ball was key to the Pirates scoring two runs in the second inning, but Urías blanked them the rest of the way.

He had a stretch of retiring 11 batters in a row before issuing a leadoff walk in the sixth. Nothing came of it, and the Dodgers took a decided lead in the bottom half of the inning.

Prior to that point, their scoring started when Mookie Betts led off the bottom of the first with a double that was followed by a two-run home run from Freddie Freeman.

In the sixth inning, it was Freeman’s double that jumpstarted the Dodgers. Max Muncy then went the other way for a two-run homer, his 20th of the season. Betts (23), J.D. Martinez (20) and Muncy have each hit 20 home runs before the All-Star break.

Freeman collected his third hit of the game and provided some insurance with an RBI single in the seventh inning.

Nick Robertson struck out the side in the seventh inning, and Brusdar Graterol shook off right shoulder trouble to face the minimum in the eighth. Alex Vesia then converted the save by retiring the side in order in the ninth.
