Max Muncy continued his hot hitting at Oracle Park as the Los Angeles Dodgers rallied to earn a 10-5 win over the San Francisco Giants in the rubber match of a three-game series, giving them a 3-4 record on their first road trip of the season.
Muncy was a big part of the comeback as his solo home run in the fifth inning tied the game. He later added a three-run homer in the sixth inning that extended the Dodgers’ lead to 8-3.
The performance came just two days after Muncy slugged two home runs and drove in career-best seven RBI during the Dodgers’ 9-1 win over the Giants in the series opener.
According to STATS, Muncy became the first player in MLB history to have at least four home runs and 11 RBI in a three-game series despite not starting in one of the matchups.
Max Muncy of the @Dodgers is the first player in MLB history to have 4+ HR and 11+ RBI in a 3-game series despite not starting all the games (he pinch-hit on Tuesday and struck out).

Muncy was not in the Dodgers lineup on Tuesday for a pre-planned night off, though he did pinch-hit and struck out in his only at-bat. That ended Muncy’s streak of reaching base safely at Oracle Park in 27 consecutive games.
The streak was the third-longest by a visiting player in the stadium’s history, bested by only Freddie Freeman (31 games) and Wil Myers (28). Freeman failed to reach in the shutout loss as well, which ended his streak.
With his latest offensive outburst, Muncy is now batting .214/.353/.571 with five home runs and a National League-best 14 RBI in 51 plate appearances this season (12 games).
Max Muncy dislikes Oracle Park despite success against the Giants
Muncy has historically hit well at Oracle Park and owns a career batting line of .297/.419/.625 with seven doubles, 11 home runs and 31 RBI in 38 games there.
Despite this, the two-time All-Star admitted he does not enjoy playing at the Giants’ home ballpark, largely due to the cold and rainy weather.
