With the MLB lockout on the verge of reaching 100 days, MLB and the Players Association (MLBPA) found enough common ground for a new collective bargaining agreement (CBA). Hours after the union voted — though going against their executive board — team owners unanimously approved the CBA.
News of the players agreeing to MLB’s proposal sparked widespread celebration, with several Los Angeles Dodgers players posting on social media. The group included Gavin Lux, Dustin May, Justin Bruihl, AJ Pollock, Walker Buehler and Will Smith, among others.
Buehler chose to address the MLB lockout ending by apologizing for since-deleted tweets in which he expressed frustration with team owners over the nature of CBA negotiations.
Sorry for my previous tweets. We’re back.

Players are due to report for Spring Training by Sunday, with Cactus League and Grapefruit League games beginning Friday, March 18.
Barring any changes, L.A. will open their Spring Training schedule against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Salt River Fields. The Dodgers are due to play five games at Camelback Ranch (four as the home team) and 10 overall Cactus League contests.
The Dodgers will break camp for the exhibition Freeway Series, which begins at Angel Stadium on March 27, then shifts to Dodger Stadium the next two nights.
Dodgers Opening Day 2022
Opening Day of the 2022 regular season was set for Thursday, April 7. However, the Dodgers won’t take the field for their season opener until the following afternoon. The initial 2022 Dodgers schedule had April 7 as a travel day, and therefore a three-game series against the Colorado Rockies begins as originally planned on April 8.
This will mark a second consecutive season the Dodgers and Rockies meet at Coors Field for an Opening Day matchup. The 2021 opener was memorable in that a Cody Bellinger home run was changed to a single because of confusion on the bases with Justin Turner.
