The Los Angeles Dodgers were unable to complete a National League Division Series sweep over the Atlanta Braves, requiring a Game 4 at SunTrust Park on Monday afternoon.

Veteran left-hander Rich Hill gets the start on the mound for the Dodgers, and he will be well-rested as he hasn’t pitched since the final game of the regular season last Sunday. That start against the San Francisco Giants was a gem though as Hill allowed just two hits while striking out eight in seven shutout innings.

In 25 games (24 starts) during the 2018 season, Hill went 11-5 with a 3.66 ERA, 3.97 FIP and 1.12 WHIP while striking out 150 and walking 41 in 132.2 innings.

One of those wins came against the Braves at SunTrust Park on July 26, when Hill turned in one of his best outings of the season. He allowed just three hits and a walk in seven scoreless innings that day, striking out eight.

Hill is coming in with 33.2 innings of postseason experience, 3.48 ERA and 1.37 WHIP across eight starts.

The Braves are bringing back right-hander Mike Foltynewicz on three days’ rest to make the start. Foltynewicz took the ball in Game 1 of the season, although he lasted just two innings, allowing three hits and four earned runs.

Foltynewicz threw just 50 pitches though, so may be sufficiently rested. Foltynewicz made 31 regular-season starts this season, going 13-10 with a 2.95 ERA, 3.37 FIP and 1.08 WHIP. He struck out an impressive 202 batters compared to 68 walks in 183 innings.

He also struggled in his one start against the Dodgers in July, giving up six hits and four runs in five innings, striking out eight while walking three.

Joc Pederson is back in the leadoff spot for the Dodgers, and he jumped on Foltynewicz early in Game 1 with a leadoff home run.

Max Muncy also took him deep with a big three-run shot in the second inning. He comes into Game 4 with a .500 on-base percentage in the series while also homering twice.
