Los Angeles Dodgers teammates Clayton Kershaw (fourth) and Cody Bellinger (15th) ranked among the top-selling jerseys for the 2018 season, Major League Baseball announced. The rankings are based on sales of Majestic jerseys from MLBShop.com since Opening Day.
Both also appeared on the 2017 list in similar spots as Kershaw was fourth and Bellinger was 16th. Corey Seager was ranked 11th last year as well.
Kershaw missed some time in the first half of the 2018 season due to arm and back injuries but has still had a very successful year. In 25 starts, Kershaw is 9-5 with a 2.53 ERA, 3.23 FIP and 1.02 WHIP while striking out 151 and walking 29 in 156.1 innings.
With Kershaw potentially opting out of his contract and hitting free agency at the end of the season, 2018 could be the last year that Dodger fans have to purchase his jersey.
Bellinger burst onto the scene in 2017 when he hit a National League rookie record 39 home runs en route to winning a unanimous Rookie of the Year award.
This season has been a bit of a struggle for him, although he has definitely had his moments. In 158 games, Bellinger is hitting .261/.346/.471 with 24 home runs, 73 RBI, 83 runs scored and 12 stolen bases.
New York Yankees right fielder Aaron Judge finished the season with the top-selling jersey for the second consecutive year despite missing around 50 games in the second half due to injury.
