While Yasiel Puig has shown growth and maturation with the Los Angeles Dodgers since the start of the 2017 season, it’s been a turbulent past year and a half off the field for him.

During 2017 Spring Training, Puig’s home was burglarized and an estimated $170,000 in jewelry was taken. He was disappointed by the incident but relieved no one was home at the time and that material items were the only things lost.

While not necessarily related or a result of that, Puig moved into a new residence but was hit again during Game 7 of the 2017 World Series. The burglar made off with jewelry in that case as well, but only worth a reported $150.

Earlier this month Puig was alerted by his Ring Alarm system that two men were attempting to break through a door, and his yelling at them led to their retreat. However, he wasn’t able to fend off another attempt that occurred Tuesday night, according to TMZ:

Yasiel Puig really needs to do something about his home security, ’cause he was burglarized yet again — the 4TH TIME he’s been hit … TMZ Sports has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell us cops were called to Puig’s San Fernando Valley home Tuesday night around 8 PM after one of the Dodger’s assistants got a security alert on his phone, which showed 3 men leaving Puig’s property.

Police have not given any indication Puig was targeted in the burglaries, but this now marks four instances at two separate properties. Additionally, each has occurred while there was a guarantee he would not be home.
