Dodgers News: Kyle Farmer ‘Would Love To Get Booed’ By Giants Fans

The Los Angeles Dodgers found their way back into the win column on Sunday behind another Kyle Farmer clutch, go-ahead RBI-double in the 10th inning to salvage a two-game series split against the San Francisco Giants.

The game-winning two-bagger proved critical, as it allowed the Dodgers to snap a four-game losing streak in the process. For Farmer, he has quickly welcomed himself to one of the best rivalries in all of baseball.

With less than a full season under his belt, the 27-year-old is already responsible for two game-deciding hits against the Giants. In his MLB debut last season, Farmer propelled the Dodgers to a victory over their rival with a walk-off, RBI double in the 11th inning.

In the wake of another crushing blow to Giants fans, Farmer revealed that he would welcome being jeered at AT&T Park, via Ken Gurnick of MLB.com:

“I’d love to get booed here. That means you’re doing something right,” Farmer said after he salvaged an otherwise losing trip when his two-out double cashed in Cody Bellinger’s leadoff double for a 2-1 win in 10 innings, snapping a four-game losing streak. “Hopefully, one day.”

Though the regular season is barely two weeks old, Farmer’s go-ahead double with two outs on Sunday certainly provided the Dodgers with a much-needed spark.

It also afforded closer Kenley Jansen a chance at redemption on the mound, and he successfully recorded his first save of the season.

The Dodgers enter play on Tuesday with a 3-6 record, but look to build off their newfound momentum return with a two-game home series against the Oakland Athletics.
