The Justin Turner Foundation was announced as one of the 75-plus official charities fielding teams to raise money by participating in the LA BIG 5K at Dodger Stadium, the Stadium vs. Sea Charity Challenge, and the full Los Angeles Marathon, among other events.
Turner will also serve as the honorary race starter on marathon morning — Sunday, March 18, 2018. He’s the first Dodgers player to ever hold such an honor.
“I’m excited to be partnering with Conqur Endurance Group to have my foundation be an official charity partner of the 2018 Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon,” Turner said.
“My team and I do a lot of work to serve the city of Los Angeles and we’re looking forward to exceeding our goal of raising $250,000 for the foundation.”
Those who sign up to join Team Justin Turner Foundation will have the opportunity to participate in the 5K on March 17, 2018, or the Stadium vs. Sea Charity Challenge or full marathon on March 18.
Additionally, they can join the foundation’s efforts in reaching their goal of raising $250,000. Four tiers are offered, with each featuring unique memorabilia or an experience.

The Justin Turner Foundation has done plenty of goodwill within the Los Angeles community, including providing for children in need during the holiday season, and hosting an annual golf tournament to generate funds for various causes.
The third such event is taking place Monday, Jan. 29, at Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, Calif. Turner and his foundation works closely with the Los Angeles Dream Center, which among other initiatives provides housing and medical services for veterans.
