The Los Angeles Dodgers placed O’Koyea Dickson on the 60-day disabled list with a subluxed left shoulder. It corresponded to creating room on the 40-man roster for Tim Locastro, who was called up from Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Dickson was among the Dodgers’ first wave of call-ups on Sept. 1. He was fresh off completing a second season with Oklahoma City in which he hit .246/.328/.484 with 22 doubles, 24 home runs and 76 RBI over 116 games.

Dickson spent some time at first base (seven games; five starts) and otherwise saw the bulk of his experience in the corner outfield spots, playing 59 games (57 starts) in left field and 23 games (22 starts) in right.

He made his MLB debut the day after joining the Dodgers, starting in left field and batting seventh in the first game of a doubleheader at Petco Park.

Dickson went 1-for-7 with two walks and two strikeouts over seven games with the Dodgers, making just the one start. His lone hit came against Madison Bumgarner in a game the San Francisco Giants ace kept the Dodgers at bay in.

The Dodgers selected Dickson in the 12th round of the 2011 Draft. He was a non-roster invitee to Spring Training this year. Over parts of seven seasons in the Minors, the 27-year-old is a career .279/.349/.491 hitter, with 182 doubles, 117 home runs and 437 RBI in 736 games.
