The Los Angeles Dodgers recalled Brandon Morrow and optioned Brock Stewart to Triple-A Oklahoma City prior to Wednesday’s game against the New York Mets. Morrow rejoins to the Dodgers 11 days after he was sent to OKC.

Or one day after becoming eligible to return unless he was replacing an injured player. Morrow was 2-0, allowed six hits and collected seven strikeouts in six scoreless innings over five games during the first stint the Dodgers.

Morrow was recalled last month when Alex Wood landed on the 10-day disabled list due to inflammation in his left SC joint. Despite the strong showing with Los Angeles, Morrow is curiously 0-5 with a 7.20 ERA and 1.50 WHIP in 20 games with Oklahoma City.

He allowed five runs on six hits, including two home runs, and had five strikeouts to one walk in 2.2 innings pitched across three relief appearances after being optioned to Oklahoma City.

Stewart returns to OKC having made just one appearance for the Dodgers in what was his 2017 debut. The right-hander turned in three scoreless innings with four strikeouts on Tuesday night to earn a save in the Dodgers’ 12-0 rout of the Mets.

Stewart’s season was delayed because of shoulder tendinitis that shut him down during Spring Training. Stewart made three combined rehab appearances with High-A Rancho Cucamonga and Oklahoma City prior to being activated from the 60-day disabled list.

The right-hander went 0-1 and allowed five runs (four earned) on nine hits (one home run), had 10 strikeouts and issued one walk in 5.1 innings. Stewart then allowed one run on three hits, including a homer, and collected four strikeouts across 3.1 innings in his only start for OKC to date since coming off the DL.
