When the Los Angeles Dodgers hired Andrew Friedman as president of baseball operations it signaled a shift to a more progressive and robust front office. In January, Los Angeles added former Toronto Blue Jays general manager Alex Anthopoulos.
Anthopoulos, heralded for his work with the Blue Jays, was hired as vice president of baseball operations, a newly created position at the time. He became the seventh former or current general manager in the Dodgers’ front office.
Although Anthopoulos was no longer the top executive in an unusually large front office, he viewed the arrangement as a positive one given the collection of bright minds.
What’s more, Anthopoulos envisioned himself remaining in Los Angeles for several years to come.
While that may hold true, he reportedly is under consideration for the Minnesota Twins president of baseball operations position, per Jon Morosi of FOX Sports:

The Twins fired general manager Terry Ryan in July, and are in the process of overhauling of their front office prior to next season.
Their reported interest in the 39-year-old executive is certainly understandable when considering Anthopoulos was highly sought after once the 2015 season concluded.
He rejected an extension from the Blue Jays and surprisingly left the organization one week after the American League East champions were eliminated from the postseason.
Prior to joining the Dodgers, Anthopoulos spent the past six seasons as the Blue Jays’ general manager. After constructing a club that made its first postseason appearance in 22 years he was named Sporting News’ MLB Executive of the Year in 2015.
