In the next series of a nine-game homestand the Los Angeles Dodgers face the Philadelphia Phillies. For Chase Utley, it’s the first time facing his former team since last August’s trade.

Monday’s series opener also marks the return of Julio Urias to the starting rotation, though for how long is uncertain. The young southpaw last started for the Dodgers on July 21. He’s made a pair of relief appearances with Triple-A Oklahoma City and one in the Majors since that point.

On the season, Urias is 1-2 with a 4.98 ERA, 3.52 FIP and 1.57 WHIP in 10 games (nine starts). The Phillies counter with Zach Eflin, who was acquired from the Dodgers in the trade for Jimmy Rollins.

The 22-year-old struggled in his last start, allowing six runs on six hits in five innings. Eflin has been susceptible to the long ball, allowing at least one home run in four of his last six starts.

The right-hander enters 3-4 with a 4.77 ERA, 4.84 FIP and 1.24 WHIP in his first season in the Majors. Justin Turner, who enters play riding an eight-game hitting streak, starts at his usual third base. Adrian Gonzalez, fresh off of his 300th career home run, is batting in the fifth spot, behind Josh Reddick.

After setting a Dodgers franchise record with four RBIs in his Major League debut, Rob Segedin makes a second consecutive start in left field.
