The Los Angeles Dodgers’ stretch of facing National League West opponents continued on Monday with the start of a three-game series against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field.

Coming off consecutive one-run losses to the San Francisco Giants, the Dodgers got their first look at Zack Greinke since he signed a six-year, $206.5 million contract with the Diamondbacks in the offseason.

Although Greinke got off to a rough start with his new club, he took the mound in the series opener having won his last five outings and with a 16-inning scoreless streak. What’s more, Greinke was coming off a complete-game shutout.

Greinke’s scoreless streak ended in the first inning on a Justin Turner RBI double. The Diamondbacks tied the game in the bottom of the first on a Paul Goldschmidt solo home run, then took the lead in the third behind Jake Lamb’s solo homer.

Corey Seager’s towering home run in the fifth inning tied the game, but that was the last time the Dodgers were heard from. Despite getting runners on base, they finished the night 0-for-11 with men in scoring position.

With the Diamondbacks looking to add to their lead in the seventh inning, Joc Pederson made a catch while crashing into the center field wall to rob Yasmany Tomas of a hit and potential RBI:

Pederson kept busy Monday night, also crashing into the fence in right-center on Goldschmidt’s home run, and making a catch on the run on a ball Greinke lined toward the gap.
