The annual MLB Winter Meetings began on Sunday in Orlando, Fla., kicking off one of the busiest weeks of the offseason.
The first order of business will be the announcement of the Hall of Fame Contemporary Baseball Era voting results on Sunday night.
Any of Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Carlos Delgado, Jeff Kent, Don Mattingly, Dale Murphy, Gary Sheffield and Fernando Valenzuela could join the class of 2026 with enough votes.
Then on Tuesday night, the third annual MLB Draft Lottery will be held to determine the first six picks in the 2026 MLB Draft.
The 2025 Winter Meetings conclude on Wednesday with the Rule 5 Draft, which gives teams an opportunity to add promising Minor League players who aren’t part of a 40-man roster.
In between the aforementioned events is the possibility of major free agent signings and blockbuster trades.
There has been plenty of speculation surrounding the likes of Kyle Tucker, Edwin Díaz and Cody Bellinger, who could all choose their next team during the Winter Meetings.
The Los Angeles Dodgers, fresh off a second consecutive World Series title, have been linked to each player as they look to improve their roster this offseason.
The team has been relatively quiet to this point but that could change at any point in the coming days. Their most notable move thus far was re-signing Miguel Rojas to a one-year, $5.5 million contract.

Dodgers’ needs
The Dodgers are expected to pursue bullpen upgrades this offseason, with Díaz considered unlikely due to his high asking price.
However, there are plenty of other quality relievers available in free agency, including longtime San Diego Padres closer Robert Suarez.
The Dodgers also showed interest in former New York Yankees reliever Devin Williams before he signed with the New York Mets, and re-signing Phillips could be an option as well.
Another need for the Dodgers is acquiring an outfielder, with Tucker among the top options in free agency. However, the 28-year-old isn’t likely to join L.A. unless he accepts a short-term contract with a high average annual salary.
A reunion with Bellinger may be more likely, though the Dodgers could opt to trade for an outfielder rather than sign one.
