The 2025 MLB Spring Breakout game between the Chicago Cubs and Los Angeles Dodgers was canceled due to inclement weather. It is not scheduled to be made up.

Los Angeles Dodgers prospects were scheduled to play Minor Leaguers from the Chicago Cubs organization, with first pitch at Camelback Ranch scheduled for 6:05 p.m. PT.

With the game no longer taking place, Dodgers Spring Training in Arizona is effectively over with respect to a Major League setting. The Cubs are due to play another Spring Breakout game against the Los Angeles Angels on Saturday.

This year’s Spring Breakout rosters feature 72 players from across the league who were included on MLB Pipeline’s Top 100 prospects lists for the 2025 season. The Dodgers contributed three top 100 prospects to that total, and more than half of their roster consists of players in the organization’s top 30.

Josue De Paula (No. 40), Jackson Ferris (No. 70) and Zyhir Hope (No. 74) made up the cream of the crop among Dodgers prospects who were due to play in the 2025 Spring Breakout game.

MLB Spring Breakout is a four-day showcase of promising prospects in the game, with the inaugural event taking place last year. A total of 16 games were due to be played from March 13-16 at Grapefruit League and Cactus League stadiums.
