2025 Dodgers Schedule Start Times: Opening Day At Dodger Stadium

The 2025 Los Angeles Dodgers schedule begins with the Tokyo Series against the Chicago Cubs, which will be followed by an exhibition Freeway Series before traditional Opening Day of the regular season.

That’s scheduled to take place on Thursday, March 27, when all 30 teams will be in action. For the Dodgers, that entails a matchup with the Detroit Tigers for Opening Day at Dodger Stadium.

First pitch of the 2025 Dodgers home opener is scheduled for 4:10 p.m. PT and will exclusively be televised by ESPN. It’s part of an Opening Day doubleheader being carried by ESPN, with the first game featuring the Milwaukee Brewers and New York Yankees.

ESPN will carry the Dodgers World Series ring ceremony before first pitch as well.

The Dodgers additionally were selected for four “Sunday Night Baseball” telecasts through June of the 2025 season.

MLB’s balanced schedule remains in effect for the third season in a row, which means the Dodgers will see all 29 opposing teams again in 2025, totaling 46 Interleague games, an increase from 20 in the seasons prior to 2023. That also amounts to the Dodgers again only making two visits to opposing National League West cities and playing a total of 52 divisional games, which is down from 76.

Dodgers start times in Japan

Prior to the start of the Tokyo Series, the Dodgers are scheduled to play exhibition games against the Yomiuri Giants and Hanshin Tigers.

First pitch of the Giants game at the Tokyo Dome is scheduled for a 3 a.m. PT start time on March 15, and the Dodgers will then play the Tigers at 8 p.m. PT on Saturday as well.

Meanwhile, both Tokyo Series games begin at 7:10 p.m. local time (3:10 a.m. PT) on March 18 and 19.
