The 2025 Dodgers Love L.A. Community Tour concluded with the biggest events on the schedule and many Los Angeles Dodgers players making it to the two stops, which included a senior citizen luncheon and trip to a local fire station.
The Dodgers in attendance during the day were Blake Snell, Bobby Miller, Gavin Stone, Hunter Feduccia, Ben Casparius, Michael Conforto, Hyeseong Kim, Michael Grove, Alex Vesia, Anthony Banda, Emmet Sheehan, Kyle Hurt, Tanner Scott, James Outman and Landon Knack. Each of them were at both of the community tour stops.
Perhaps the most notable event on the Dodgers Community Tour schedule was their final stop, visiting the Los Angeles County Fire Department Camp 2 in La Cañada Flintridge. Along with the station’s own firefighters on hand for the event, members of the Angeles National Forest Department, CalFire and the Pasadena Fire Department were there as well.
The firefighters from those stations served as some of the first responders in fighting the Palisades fire before going to work controlling the Eaton Fire.
“These are the men and women of the L.A. County Fire Department, Angeles National Forest, CalFire, L.A. City Fire and Pasadena Fire and all the fire agencies throughout the state that put it all on the line for the last few weeks and made a difference in peoples’ lives,” L.A. County Fire Captain Dave Gelati said.
“As we rebuild right now, we are so eternally grateful that our World Champion Dodgers have come here to form a partnership with us to help our communities. And as Ice Cube and Dave Roberts said, we’re going to run it back again this year for the Dodgers. Let’s go get that trophy!”
As part of the visit, the Dodgers, in partnership with Bank of America, made a donation of $10,000 to L.A. County Fire Department. In addition to that, the Dodgers made another donation of $100,000.
The Dodgers spent most of their time at the station greeting firefighters and thanking them for their heroism, and they were also given a tour of the the facilities, machinery and vehicles used to fight fires.
They spent time signing autographs throughout the visit, which included on fire helmets, shirts, baseballs, hats, a fire jacket and even a chainsaw blade.
Bruno, the station’s support dog who was wearing a Dodgers cap, was also there to greet the players. Snell and Sheehan both signed the hat.
“First time I signed a dog hat, first time I signed a chainsaw today too. So those are probably the two coolest things I think I’ve ever signed,” Sheehan said.
Kim also made his first appearance as a member of the Dodgers after signing with the club upon being posted by the Chiba Lotte Marines.
It was the first time Kim has put on a Dodgers jersey, and while he was not affected by the fires while living in Korea, he was grateful for the opportunity to meet the first responders.
“I’ve only heard and watched it on the news, but I’ve heard a lot about how big the fires were,” Kim said through his interpreter. “I’m honored to spend time with these firefighters, spend time face to face and thank them for their hard work.
Dodgers attend senior citizen luncheon
Prior to their stop at the fire station, the Dodgers players attended a luncheon at the Robinson Park Recreation Center for senior citizens who were affected by the wildfires.
The players went around to different tables to talk with the attendees, sign autographs and take photos. Some of the players also joined in on a dance party that started.
The Dodgers made a $10,000 donation to the center as well and invited all of the people there to a Dodgers game during the 2025 season.
